R.I.P. Yvonne

No, this isn't an update on captions yet. I just wanted to express my condolences to Yvonne's family for their loss. It isn't a thoughtful eulogy on my part, but I do want you to know that her captions and presence were well appreciated and will continue to be even after her sudden passing.

I have no new captions and I'm putting the interactive caption idea on hold until I have an idea for either one. I apologize to the fanbase I somehow established and promise a caption by the end of 2012, at the worst.

Then again, I've made promises I've had to back out on come the deadline. I feel like a bucket of ass now. But by the end of 2012 isn't an impossible deadline, is it?

I don't know. If and when I make a caption, you'll know (if you follow this blog or World of TG). Until then, I am sorry. :(

Update

It's been too long since I last updated this blog that I believe I saw several cobwebs upon signing into Blogger. I am still working on the interactive caption idea, with only two snags: Personal life gets in the way, as I'm sure most of you are familiar with, and my attention gets diverted into multiple other projects (e.g. videos, stories, comics, etc.) If I can bang out a caption between now and the end of next week, I will. It probably won't be the interactive caption I promised but something to hold you over until the main three-course meal comes out. I just hope that the customers don't leave violently pissed by then.

In short, I'll hopefully have a single cap out soon. Apologies for the wait, guys.

Food for thought: Anyone else but me draw some sort of parallel between this story and this work of TG fiction?
Not to say I'm implying anything, mind you. I just found similarities in both stories, somewhat.

By the way

I remember some time ago someone requesting a Star Wars-themed caption. I can't say I'll never do it because inspiration strikes me at the weirdest of times.....but it's not really one I can see myself doing in the very near future, simply because I'm not into Star Wars. Sure, I know the characters and stuff, but that's really where my knowledge ends.

Welcome Replacement?

In lieu of making all those captions I've said I would make, I got inspired by Smitty (blog found here) to make an interactive choose-your-own-fate caption. It'll take awhile but hopefully it'll be worth it.

Tallies

I put a poll up recently asking what the theme of the next caption should be. I can't say I was surprised by the results, but appreciative nonetheless. Of the 30 that voted,

• 14 voted for bodysuits
• 5 wanted magical trinkets and the like
• Another 5 wanted magical clothing
• 2 wanted Bikini Beach 
• 4 wanted either Symbiote-esque stories or a continuation of the series I have going on said subject and
• Nobody wanted Great Shift captions. I don't blame you-- there's two blogs dedicated almost entirely to the subject (that is, two more well-known blogs), not to mention that I suck at making them (I can't really get into them, mind you). 

Based on these results, I'll probably (and arbitrarily) put up 14 bodysuit captions, 5 magical trinket captions, 5 magical clothing captions, 4 continuations of the Symbiote series I have or something entirely different, and 2 Bikini Beach captions, all of which I hope will be up on this blog by the end of March, latest.

So keep a look out until then.

On a side note, what brain dead executive thought the show 'Work It' (ABC series that lasted 10 days before being pulled for being atrocious) was a good idea?

As for what it was you voted on...

The Design-- I've actually just changed that recently. If it's the color scheme you're not content with or something else entirely, just comment below and I'll try to please the eye because 3 of you voted on that.

The Captions-- Only one of you voted on this. If you don't like my captions, comment below on what it is exactly you don't like about them because I can't bend to invisible guidelines.

The Captions' Design-- I'm sorry about the captions' design to the one person that voted on this, but there's nothing I can do about it beyond add a few bells and whistles. I have MSPaint and money is scarce to buy something better. And I remember downloading GIMP but that's since been deleted. If and when I remember to download it again, I'll practice making captions on that and post adequate results.

Bitch Bitch Bitch- Two don't seem to like this segment of the blog. I don't mean to be rude....but that's too bad. I'm not taking it down. Sorry.

Caption Frequency-- Again, I'm sorry. Nothing I can do about that. I need to be motivated to do captions, alongside have an idea of what I want to make and make sure no one's hawking over me while I make them. I would have made a lot more than five captions the other day if not for this fact.
